Wereceived244submissions,showingbyquantityandqualitythatISPAis a popular and respected conference in the area. Submissions were ?rst screened for their relevance and general submission requirements, and 226 of them were keptfor evaluation. All these manuscriptsunderwent a rigorouspeer-reviewp- cess. At the end, 83 articles were accepted for presentation and inclusion in the proceedings, comprising 34% of original submissions. Many individuals c- tributed to the success of this conference. We take this opportunity to thank all authors for their submissions, many of whom traveled great distances to parti- pateinthissymposiumandmaketheirvaluablecontributions. OurProgramVice Chairs helped enormously by putting together a ProgramCommittee, assigning andtrackingreviewsforeachpaper,andmakingsummaryrecommendations. Lei Pan(SoftwareandLanguagesTrack),XiaomingLi(ArchitecturesandSystems), Mohamed Ould-Khaoua (Networks), Cheng-Zhong Xu (Middleware and Co- erative Computing), M. Cristina Pinoti (Algorithms and Applications), Dan A Simovici (Datamining and Databases), Amiya Nayak (Fault Tolerance and - curity)made anoutstanding contributionto the fair selectionofthe best articles for the conference. We are also indebted to a small army of Program Comm- tee members who put hard work and long hours into reviewing each paper in a timely and professional way! Thanks to all the Program Committee members for their valuable time and e?ort in reviewing the papers. Without their help and advice this program would not have been possible.
